Xavier had de knul een paar dagen alleen gelaten al meteen was het feest. Hij zelf moest wat zaken op lossen met die verdomde steen die hem meer problemen had veroorzaakt dan hij wilde en dan vooral veel mensen op zijn dak had die hij daar helemaal niet wilde hebben. Hij had een aantal dagen vast gezeten nadat hij eindelijk de steen had terug gegeven aan die griet. De blauwe plek op zijn kaak was nog steeds zichtbaar. Hij was knock out geslagen en meegenomen naar een of andere loods. Daar had hij een aantal dagen gezeten totdat hij genoeg op krachten was gekomen om zijn magische trucjes uit te halen. Die mannen daar wisten niet wat hen over kwam. Eerst was er nog maar een Xavier en toen stond in eens de kamer vol met Xavier's. Nog nooit had hij zoveel angst en paniek veroorzaakt. Heerlijk.

Maar de man had nog maar een stap terug gezet in Wolfston of een van zijn magische vogeltjes die hij had ingezet om Daehyun in de gaten te houden kwam al naar hem toe. Met zijn magie had hij het vogeltje in zijn macht en kon hij precies zien wat het vogeltje had gezien. En bij elk beeld dat hij zag werd Xavier nou niet bepaald vrolijker. Een van de personen waarmee de knul zo innig contact had herkende hij als een van de leden van Venom. Nu mocht Xavier niet vooroordelen want hij was zelf ook geen lieverdje geweest. Maar de leden van Venom kon je beter zo ver mogelijk uit te buurt houden. De andere personen kon Xavier niet zo snel herkennen, maar wat daar mee gebeurde wilde Xavier eigenlijk allemaal niet weten. Hij liet het vogeltje weer vrij en ging op weg naar het huis van de knul.

Hij was zo slim geweest om een van de huissleutels in zijn zak te stoppen en daarmee kon Xavier dan ook weer binnen komen. Hij plaatste zichzelf op de bank, hoe moest hij dit gaan bespreken. Hij kon gewoon hier blijven zitten en wachten totdat de jongen thuis kwam. Ook kon hij er mee wachten tot morgen ochtend. Xavier wierp een blik op de klok, het was al tegen half twaalf aan. De jongen had structuur nodig en Xavier zou daar voor zorgen. De tijd tikte langzaam voorbij en na een paar uur ging dan eindelijk de deur open.
'Goh kon je de weg naar huis nog vinden?' Vroeg Xavier die op de bank zat.

& Daehyun

Xavier didn't move when the boy throwed the cup at him. With a little hand wave he made the cup smack on the wall behind him. He wasn't even impressed or mad, he was just disappointed. “i’m not in the mood for talking nonsense right now, as you can see.” Xavier didn't care if the boy wanted to talk 'nonsense' or not. He wanted to talk 'nonsense' because the boy was even more stupid than Xavier thought. “you’re back!? where have you been? what have you done? why are you wounded? oh if i get the one in my hands who did this to you, i might squeeze him to death. no i’ll rip their throat out with my teeth.” Xavier stood up.
'Don't' He said with a strict voice. He walked up the boy and hit him in the face. 'Are you trying to get killed? I thought you were way more smarter than this, if I knew that you would run around and fight with everyone that crosses your path, I would never helped you with turning. I'm a few days out of town and you do this?' Xavier wasn't angry he was just disappointed.

Xavier got back on the couch. “are you okay?” He looked up to the kid. 'I'm fine thanks for asking.' He said. He looked away from the boy, but soon enough he let go of his strict attitude and looked at him again. 'How are you? Did you get hurt much?' He asked. He didn't wanted the boy to hate him, or to think that Xavier is gonna be his parent. He just didn't want that he got hurt.

Xavier hated himself for hitting the boy. He knew it wasn't right to hit a kid, but sometimes they did stupid things that he didn't know what to say or to do. Xavier had to say that it was stupid and that he cared for the kid, but somehow he didn't know how to say it. All he could do was hit him in the face and feeling guilty for it.
'I'm sorry I hit you." Xavier said when Daehyun told him he was fine. He didn't look fine to Xavier. He looked tired and anxious, but maybe it was him. Maybe his mind was playing tricks with him again. [i]“I’m sorry for disappointing you, for what I did and my jaguar. He turned against me, controls me and he’s angry at me, but I don’t know why. You know pain keeps me human. So actually it didn’t hurt that much. But after causing the pain, he got angry again and wanted me to shift.”[/b] Xavier nodded, most shapeshifters told this after turning. Xavier stood up and laid his hands on Daehyun shoulders.
"Your jaguar is a powerful animal, it won't listen to just someone. It listen to it's leader." Xavier told him. Xavier shook his head after the kid asked him to talk to the jaguar.
"I can't do that, i'm not the leader of your jaguar. You can't out trick him by saying you do everything he wants. You can only trust yourself and believe in yourself. It will listen to you." Xavier didn't know how, but he didn't want to give up hope. The kid was strong, he had a strong mind otherwise he wouldn't have a jaguar at all.
"You know what you need to do. Just trust yourself, don't be afraid, he smells fear and will use it against you." Xavier told him and pulled the kid towards him and hugged him.
"I'm happy to see you." Xavier said.

Daehyun let the man pull him into a hug. He kinda needed it after all. “I’ll do better, I promise.” He whispered, not wanting the other to be disappointed again. The information Xavier gave him took some time to be processed into his mind. The younger sighed, giving in by hugging the man tightly. It had been a rough time, just a week or one, maybe two he had changed for his first time. He got into multiple fights, making out sessions and yet he was even the most weakest thing on earth. How could the other one live with him if he was just that weak. But then again he needed to lead himself, how? The younger looked up while he pushed back the tears in his eyes once again. “I…I…” He started but he couldn’t go further with the thoughts he wanted to tell the other.

The younger let the other go, walking over to his couch and falling down. He closed his eyes, trying to concentrate, to think about what a leader had to do and what someone expected from a leader. What did Yongguk do, what did he tell Daehyun to be a good leader. What had he said back then when they had met. Thinking deeply he tried to remember every single word. “Come on.” It was meant to be growled at himself, not to be rude to the other. “Being a leader, is taking care of your people, be there for them, comfort them, stand up for them. But also putting the others above yourself, the last thing you have to do is care about yourself. If they have to work, you work with them. You can’t win a war by watching it, you have to fight with them against the enemy.” This was easier to be said then what he actually could do. Again he growled at himself. Maybe Yongguk was wrong about being a leader. He was the leader of a pack, a pack of only shapeshifters. He knew that they couldn’t be called a tree, there was no warlock among them. No Yongguk was born to be one and he wasn’t.

Maybe he was defining the word leader wrong. Just when he was about to get up before he would getting more frustrated than he already was, he thought about something else. The younger quickly ran to a bookcase, looking for a dictionary. He couldn’t do this in one day, just as Rome wasn’t built in one day too. Daehyun threw all the books out, trying to find that little but thick book that had a lot of words defined in it just to make all the things a lot easier to understand. “Where is that stupid thing!” The younger gave it up after throwing out 20 books. Sitting down on the ground and fisting his hair out of frustration. Okay, he said I had to trust myself. Do I trust myself? I don’t know. Do I trust him? I don’t know that either. Am I afraid of what my precious jaguar can do to someone, what he can cause? No, then I have to trust him.He closed his eyes, breathing very slow and quiet. I won’t be afraid of what he can do, I trust him not to hurt the man inside this room, I trust him in every single way. I do trust you. What happened after that, he didn’t know. Everything went black at the last thought he had as a human.

“I’ll do better, I promise.” Xavier smiled and let go of the kid. He gave him some advice and Xavier really hoped that the kid could use it. Daehyun had to do it himself, just like Xavier. When he got send away from his family because of his dark magic he had to do it himself. It was hard for him because he had no one to help him. And Xavier wanted to help the kid so bad that he wanted to take the pain away, but that would only cause more pain in the future. Xavier let the kid go do his own stuff. He had probably a lot to think about. Xavier did his own thing, he was searching some old books with some old spells. He got himself in some trouble and needed some advice for himself. But still he couldn't find what he needed. It were some stupid stories Xavier told himself, but somehow he knew they weren't just stories.

He looked up when Daehyun stood up and goes to the other room. Still letting him go, Xavier didn't need to get involved to much. “Where is that stupid thing!” Xavier got a bit worried and got to the room. Xavier looked in the eyes of the jaguar, his heart dropped and he didn't know what to do than to keep his hands for him.
"Dae?" He said softly. He didn't knew what the jaguar was going to do and Xavier must say that he was afraid of what the jaguar was capable of.
"What couldn't you find?" He asked. What needed the kid from the books? Xavier didn't understand.

Daehyun groaned in pain. His head was throbbing like there was no tomorrow. What the hell did just happen? He slowly got up. The boy looked around, his vision still blurry and his hearing ability still failing him. He tried to blink a few times, before he could see something again. The younger looked at the ground. It was filled with books from his bookshelf. He tried to remember what happened, but he couldn’t. “What the hell happened to me?” Right after he was asking it himself, he smelled Xavier his scent. Well now he knew the elder was in his house again. Daehyun shook his head while he tried to clear everything. “I’m alright if you want to know that.” He didn’t want the older one to worry about him. Yet it wasn’t normal, but it also had something to do with his jaguar. He felt how he purred inside him, making Daehyun himself groan a little bit angrily. Why did he always come with the wrong moves at the wrong time.

The young shook his head again, while he tried to stand up. “You smell like old stuff. What were you doing?” He looked at the man. Daehyun took his smartphone to look at his hear, it was kinda messy right now. The younger ran a hand through his hair to put everything back in its right place. “Xav?” He looked up, after he still got no answers from the man. Was everything alright with him?

With fear in his eyes Xavier looked at the jaguar. He tried to hold the barrier before him so the jaguar couldn't attack him. The dark magic hold the animal form him and after it got tired of attacking Xavier it went back in the room. The animal went quiet. “What the hell happened to me?” Xavier looked up and went to the room. He leaned against the door frame to look at the confused boy who lays on the ground. With big eyes Xavier looked at him and he didn't know what to say. He didn't want to scare the boy. “I’m alright if you want to know that.” Xavier wished he could say the same. But he couldn't, his brain hurts from the fast magic reaction he had to give. The barrier he had to get up was on the limit of his powers. The Jaguar wanted to kill him, he saw it in his eyes. Didn't he remember it? Xavier looked more confused at the boy after it took his cell from it's pocket. He asked something but Xavier couldn't hear it. He looked up again after the boy said his name again.

"I-I'm fine." Xavier said with confusing in his voice. "You know what happend?" He asked standing on his two feet again and hold the boy in front of him. He wanted to look in his eyes. He wanted to see Daehyun, the kid that would not even hurt a fly. Not that creepy Jaguar that's only capable of killing.
"You turned, you remember that right? He tried to kill me." Xavier said. "The Jaguar tried to kill me. I had time to protect myself, but he was so fast. He tried to kill me." Xavier said again. He was shocked.
"Do you remember it?" He asked again. He held the boy tightly against him. "You'll never hurt anyone right?" Xavier asked with fear.

Daehyun looked at the man in front of him. “I-I’m fine.” He heard the confusing in his voice. What had he done to him. “You know what happened.” Daehyun tried to remember something, but after a few minutes he just couldn’t remember anything. After he said he trusted the animal inside him everything went black. This was the last thing he could get back into his mind. “No, I don’t know what happened. Tell me please, what did I do?” He begged the man to tell him what happened because what if he was capable of hurting people like this. “You turned, you remember that right? He tried to kill me.” He had begun. Daehyun felt how tears filled his eyes. How did he even try to kill that man if everything he had left was only him. “The Jaguar tried to kill me. I had time to protect myself, but he was so fast. He tried to kill me.” This time the tears were falling down on his cheeks. He couldn’t keep them inside anymore. Why did he even put the trust in his jaguar if it only failed right after. He couldn’t be trusted. No one could ever trust him because he was hurting everyone around him. Daehyun started to cry soundless.

“Do you remember it?” The older tried again, holding him tightly, but he could only cry. “You’ll never hurt anyone right?” The younger heard him asking, while he only shuddered because of crying. “I’m so sorry. I said I trusted him, but I can’t be trusted after all.”  Daehyun cried while he tried to calm himself. The younger tried to sniff some of Xavier his scent. But nothing worked. The boy had let go of the older. “I’m so sorry I tried to hurt you. I’ll leave, so I can’t hurt you. If I’m gone, I won’t hurt or kill you.” Daehyun gave a small peck on his lips before walking really fast outside. He didn’t wanted this to happen, but he couldn’t stay. “I’m so sorry Xavier.” He whispered before shifting into his jaguar once again and running away.

Xavier told the boy the whole story, what happend when he was the jaguar. He saw the pain in the kid his eyes and the tears streaming down his face. Xavier didn't want to hurt him, he was just a boy who couldn't handle it. “I’m so sorry. I said I trusted him, but I can’t be trusted after all.” Xavier took Daehyun in a hug, he didn't want the kid to feel bad. Maybe he shouldn't have told it, just say that he spoke to the jaguar and that it will be fine. No Xavier couldn't lie to the kid. What would happen if something really bad would happen. Daehyun would be so mad at Xavier then. “I’m so sorry I tried to hurt you. I’ll leave, so I can’t hurt you. If I’m gone, I won’t hurt or kill you.” Xavier shook his head. Tried to held the boy so he couldn't not run away.
"No don't say that. Dae don't say that please." He begged. He didn't want the kid alone outside. Xavier shifted after Daehyun, trying to catch him up but he couldn't not reach him. “I’m so sorry Xavier.” Xavier could hear the boy before he turned in the jaguar again and run away.
"Don't say that." Xavier said, his eyes filling up with tears. He just lost the one person he most cared about. First Liesel and then Ariel now he lost Daehyun.
